Documentation Update - Sequences Displayed in Probe Sequence Sheets (MLPA Probemixes)

We recently updated our probe sequence sheet template to display partial probe sequences in place of the full sequences. In the updated documentation, 20 nucleotides on either side of the probe's ligation site are displayed.

Improved – P148 TGFBR1-TGFBR2-TGFB2-SMAD3 – Featuring New Probes Targeting TGFB2 and SMAD3

The new C1 version of P148 TGFBR1-TGFBR2-TGFB2-SMAD3 is now available on the market, featuring several new probes targeting TGFB2 and SMAD3, and a number of improved target and reference probes that together increase the coverage and robustness of the probemix.

MLPA and digitalMLPA in Pediatric Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia

A study published in Modern Pathology by researchers from Semmelweis University (Budapest, Hungary), in collaboration with scientists from MRC Holland, utilised MLPA and digitalMLPA in combination with DNA and RNA sequencing to extensively characterise a nationwide cohort of 192 pediatric acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) patients.

Coffalyser.Net - License Renewal or Update - User Action May Be Required

Users of v.240129.1959 are required to renew their license which is easy to do and free of charge. Users of older versions of Coffalyser.Net are required to update to version v.240129.1959 or v.250317.1029. This is required for users making use of both preconfigured, as well as custom SQL Servers.

Improved – ME033 TNDM – Featuring Updated Target and Reference Probes

ME033 TNDM just received a major update with version B1 featuring the addition of five new target probes and the replacement of seven target probes as well as all ten reference probes, further refining the performance of the probemix in order to detect the majority of TNDM cases.

MLPA in Challenging Glioblastoma Cases

A brief research report published in Pathology & Oncology Research by researchers from the Czech Republic highlighted the inherent challenges of characterising glioblastoma by comparing multiple widely used methodologies, including MLPA.

Improved: P062 LDLR – Featuring a New Target Probe for Exon 18 of LDLR

P062 LDLR just received a major update, with the recently released E1 version featuring a new target probe for exon 18 of the LDLR gene.

New: P498 CSTB

P498 CSTB is a new assay developed to specifically detect deletions or duplications in the CSTB gene. 

New: P477 Head and Neck Carcinoma

New probemix: P477 Head and neck carcinoma targets the most frequently altered regions in HNSCCs and includes 36 probes for the CUL3, PIK3CA, SOX2, FAT1, KIAA0825, EGFR, SNAI2, NFIB, CCND1, FADD, TGIF1 and BCL2L1 genes.
