NXtec D008 DMD

NXtec D008 DMD is a digitalMLPA assay that detects copy number variations in DMD, as well as X chromosome aneuploidies. This assay includes 2 probes per DMD exon for more robust copy number calling.

Specifications

Contents: 403 probes, including 158 probes for DMD, and 50 probes distributed across the X chromosome, upstream and downstream of DMD.

Tissue: human genomic DNA

Application: research on Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD), and Becker muscular dystrophy (BMD).

For research use only (RUO). Not for use in diagnostics.

Note that this assay must be used in combination with Coffalyser digitalMLPA v2.6.0 or newer.

General information

NXtec D008-A1 DMD is a research use only (RUO) assay for the detection of deletions or duplications in the dystrophin (DMD) gene, associated with Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) and Becker muscular dystrophy (BMD). This assay includes additional coverage upstream and downstream of DMD to help determine the extent of DMD deletions or duplications, as well as detection of X chromosome aneuploidies.

Positive samples

Inclusion of a positive sample is usually not required, but can be useful for the analysis of your experiments. MRC Holland has very limited access to positive samples and cannot supply such samples. We recommend using positive samples from your own collection. Alternatively, you can use positive samples from an online biorepository, such as the Coriell Institute.

See this support article for commercially available positive samples that can be used with this product.
