New Version of Coffalyser digitalMLPA Available

A new version of Coffalyser digitalMLPA – version 2.6 – was recently released. This update further improves the robustness, reliability, and usability of digitalMLPA data analysis. 

Main changes include:

• Improved handling of large FASTQ files. Issues encountered during the import of large FASTQ files have been resolved.
• Improved read recognition. The assignment of reads containing sequencing error-induced mismatches to digitalMLPA probes is improved, thereby reducing read rejection and resulting in more robust and reliable analyses.
• Enhanced reporting functionality.
  • Charts in Results PDF report are updated for display of many data points, Y-axis label is added and Y-axis intervals are optimised.
  • Colour formatting of results in Excel reports is updated.
  • Coffalyser digitalMLPA version number (Major.Minor.Patch) is added to all reports.
• More accurate plausible root cause identification to aid in troubleshooting failed reactions.
• Added compatibility with the recently launched digitalMLPA assay NXtec D008 DMD (Coffalyser digitalMLPA v2.6 or later is required for analysis of D008 experiments).

Changes introduced in Coffalyser digitalMLPA v2.5 which remain present in v2.6:

• Ability to exclude selected targets from the analysis (masking).
• Analysis of X-chromosome probes using a mixed set of male and female reference samples, reducing the total number of reference samples required.
• Quality Report (PDF report) is now generated for each experiment, containing general quality information for all samples, and detailed quality information, including a plausible root cause, for samples with detected issues.
• Enhanced quality control checks compared to version v251008.1227 and earlier.

This new version of Coffalyser digitalMLPA can be downloaded from your user account on our website. Coffalyser digitalMLPA v2.6 supports all current sales versions of our digitalMLPA NXtec assays, including the recently released NXtec D008 DMD and NXtec D028 Carrier Panel 1.
