(Junior) Product Developer – Oncogenetics OR Cytogenetics (Full-Time)

As a (junior) product developer – oncogenetics you already have some experience or strong affinity for cancer genetics and for understanding of the cancer genome to identify driver alterations and to associate those genetic events with a diagnostic, clinical or therapeutic value. You are involved in designing and testing of (digital)MLPA products, so that they meet our quality standards. In addition, you are involved in developing and testing new data analysis strategies for tumour analysis with (digital)MLPA. 

As a (junior) product developer – cytogenetics you already have some experience or strong affinity for cytogenetics and epigenetics. You are involved in designing and testing of (digital)MLPA products, so that they meet our quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Translating knowledge in oncogenetics / molecular genetics into products for diagnostic and research use.
  • Designing and validating new and improved (digital)MLPA products for tumour or cytogenetic applications and research in collaboration with external research labs and institutes.
  • Performing (digital)MLPA quality tests and data analysis.
  • Contributing to company-related processes, such as quality assurance.
  • Using techniques such as PCR, MLPA, probe design.

Requirements

  • MSc (or PhD) degree in Biology, Biomedical Sciences, or other relevant discipline.
  • Affinity with oncogenetics / (epi)genetics and working in a commercial setting according to QMS protocols.
  • Fluency in English in both writing and speaking. Knowledge of Dutch is preferred.
  • Good computer skills (MS Office applications).
  • Characteristics: Analytical, creative, accurate and organised. Able to work independently as well as part of the team.
